Most of us will have heard of the Radio Borders '˜Cash for Kids' initiative, but how many of us know about the work that goes on behind the radio campaigns?

In December 2015, Candy Rafferty of the Cash for Kids team approached Borders College with a potential project for their painting and decorating students – they needed a large advertising trailer to be painted up as a blank canvas ready for use.

Would they be up for the challenge?

Painting and decorating lecturers Barbara Hastie and Mark Easson set their City & Guilds painting and decorating, and second year painting and decorating students, to the task, which took just over three weeks to complete.
